DESCRIPTION:Autumn Meeting for Young Chemists in Biomedical Sciences\, 4th Edition\n\n\n\nThe conference in Florence\, Italy aims at bringing together young scientists under-40 from Academic and Public institutions involved in research related to biomedical sciences. \n\n\n\nInitially conceived in 2020 as a symposium at the Department of Pharmacy of the University of Naples\, due to the COVID-19 pandemic\, for two editions it was re-thought as a virtual meeting to “break social distancing” and allow the sharing of ideas among young researchers. The first live edition was in Naples in 2022 and included about 130 participants. \n\n\n\nLike the three previous editions\, AMYC-BIOMED 2023 will be a completely multidisciplinary conference\, where each session will include scientists with different background in order to reach our main goal: CONTAMINATION OF IDEAS FOR A BETTER SCIENCE! \n\n\n\nSilantes is proud to be sponsor of the Autumn Meeting for Young Chemists in Biomedical Sciences. SUMMARY:CMMC Symposium in Molecular Medicine
DESCRIPTION:From Concepts to Clinic: a New Era of Nucleic Acid Therapeutics\nSeptember 18 – 20\, 2023 at the Medical Campus of the University in Cologne\, Germany \nNucleic acid-based compounds are highly target-specific and\, compared to other classes of therapeutics\, relatively simple to manufacture for therapeutic purposes. It is now the time to overcome the last hurdles towards the widespread application of this therapeutic opportunity in a growing number of diseases. This goal requires an in-depth understanding of the chemical\, biological and clinical challenges in the field. \nThe CMMC Symposium 2023 – integrating the 37th Ernst Klenk Symposium – will address these challenges and provide insight into the state-of-the-art pharmaceutical development. We envision to bring newest knowledge of nucleic acid drug research together with basic principles and clinical implications with the hope to boost nucleic acid therapeutic research. The goal is to foster the process of diagnostics and therapeutics drug development through an enhancement of interdisciplinary exchange of physicians\, clinician scientists\, molecular biologists\, bioinformatics\, physics\, and chemists among other life science disciplines. \nSilantes is proud to be sponsor of the CMMC Symposium in Molecular Medicine. SUMMARY:Georg and Christine Sosnovsky Prize for Outstanding Dissertations in the Field of Chemistry 2023
DESCRIPTION:The founders of the prize\, Dr. Christine and Professor Dr. Georg Sosnovsky\, studied chemistry at the Leopold-Franzens University of Innsbruck in the early post-war years. Their professional careers took Georg and Christine Sosnovsky first to Australia and later to the USA (University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee)\, where they spent a large part of their professional lives. \n\n\n\nOn the occasion of their Golden Doctoral Anniversary\, Dr. Christine and Prof. Dr. Georg Sosnovsky endowed the prize named after them in 1999. The Georg and Christine Sosnovsky Prize\, funded by their foundation\, is awarded annually to an outstanding dissertation in the field of chemistry. To be eligible\, the dissertation must have received two “Very Good (1)” reviews.  \n\n\n\nThe Board of Trustees\, consisting of one representative from each institute within the Department of Chemistry\, decides on the recipient of the prize in camera. The Georg and Christine Sosnovsky Prize is awarded to the author of a dissertation written at the University of Innsbruck and completed in the previous year. The prize will be awarded in 2023 for a dissertation completed in 2022 and already approved. \n\n\n\nSilantes is a proud sponsor of the Georg and Christine Sosnovsky Prize for Outstanding Dissertations in the Field of Chemistry 2023.

SUMMARY:17th NMR Retreat of Protein-RNA Interactions Parpan 2023
DESCRIPTION:This meeting started years ago as a small ‘ski-trip’ of the Allain group. It was originally located in an old house in Flims. This winter retreat has now grown to the level of an international NMR meeting as it will include 17 NMR groups all working on protein-RNA interactions. DESCRIPTION:AILM2022 will focus on the development of isotopic labelling techniques and their application to the study of biomolecular structure and dynamics.
